At the Zoo

The day after we got home from the reunion, we took Ava to the zoo. It was on my list of things I wanted to do this summer, so we went!

 It was a hot day, and a lot of the animals we visited were hiding in the shade but Ava just loves being outside so she was happy.

I don't care that they're in a zoo - looking at the ground in there made me sick. This is why you always kill gophers!
 

 

  

 

Fascinated!

This was her very first taste of ice cream, and of course she loved it!

The wait was way too long to go in and see the penguin show but the little guys outside were cute.
