10 on Tuesday
1. I had never tried brussel sprouts until tonight. I thought maybe I was missing out on something, so I made some with bacon. I don't think I'll eat another brussel sprout again in my life. Yuck.
2. My kid almost has all of her teeth. Maybe someday I will sleep through the night again.
3. I'm so excited to find out the winner of the Mother's Day Giveaway!
4. My photography site is having work done. Yeah, I timed that really well - right during a giveaway. I thought it would be done sooner. :\
5. I just joined the PPOC - Professional Photographers of Canada. There is a local branch in Lethbridge and there are some AMAZING photographers. Can't wait to learn from them! My secret (until now) dream in life is to win an award in print competition.
6. I'm going through an online shopping phase again - it comes and goes! It's so much easier to justify buying things for Ava than it is for myself. My summer wardrobe needs some help.
7. I'm going to try to sew Ava a maxi dress. Tomorrow night. In my mind it is so cute - we'll see how that goes!
I may use this tutorial and I may not - I might just make it up from a dress I have for her.
8. I'm keeping up with Project Life and I'm feeling good about that. Ava asks to look at pictures every day so there's another reason I'm glad I'm doing it. Now to work on her baby book.
9. Our thermostat quit again. We just got a new one last month. I have to hook the wires inside together to turn the furnace on, then unhook them to turn it on. I was in the basement for most of the day so I didn't realize how HOT it was getting upstairs. And the nights are a little on the chilly side. Gotta get a new thermostat before we don't need it anymore (hopefully this snow goes away soon and stays away).
10. I can't wait to plant my garden! I still have to build the boxes and find some dirt. I really want to do a lot of planting in my yard, too - a few more trees, a hedge, some flowers, etc. It probably won't happen this year but I will have my garden.
+1. I finally found out what the little rubber thing was that I threw away a few months ago - a foot for my Kitchen Aid. Way to go Kins. My mixer never moves so I didn't even notice it was gone.

Mother's Day Giveaway
I'm doing a giveaway for Mother's Day again this year! And if you win, just to clarify - I won't be doing your makeup. Someone else will be. :)
Shoes, clothes, jewelry, sugar, and pictures of your gorgeous self. I love the sponsors - they were so willing to participate and give a deserving mom some awesome stuff. Good luck!

April 15 on the 15th
I kept it real this month - no makeup and yoga pants. I ended up having no kids to babysit so it was just me and Ava, which made it a little easier. Ava, as usual, is in almost every picture. Until we have more kids I think that's just the way it's going to be. I didn't do a lot of editing to these. The End. Here are the pictures:
Ava is naked in the following pictures because she had just eaten breakfast, gotten it all over herself, been stripped down and was happy so I had to work out while I could. I didn't take any pictures of that.
I sampled all of these chocolates and then threw the (closed) box in the garbage. There were obviously still some left, and somehow Ava remembered what was inside of that box, so she dug it out of the garbage and got it open while I was getting dressed. Yum hey?

Documenting Life
I finally narrowed my 15 on the 15th from February down to 15 photos! I made a nice 6x12 collage in Photoshop, then looked through my supplies and realized I didn't have any 6x12 page protectors. The shipping costs more than the page protectors so until I want to buy something else I will have to make do!
And March: lots of these were on my phone or were just snapshots - not the most creative or amazing but I got 15 shots of the day.

10 on Tuesday
This is kind of a conglomeration post.
1. I ate too much Nutella today. And I want more. Kinda craving it right now...
2. I had so much fun on Saturday with two baby boys. They both even showed up with the exact same sock monkey.
3. I did my 15 on the 15th this month - yay! I took WAY more than 15 photos, so it seems impossible to narrow it down to 15. But I captured a whole day.
Lovin' on her baby:
Visiting dad at the office:
Dance party downstairs - stopping long enough to pose
Storytime before bed:
4. I took a LOT of pictures in the last week. We had a lot of fun with my sister Bri while she was here, including a trip to Waterton and Cardston. Clark couldn't come but he got us all doughnuts for the drive.
We stopped at Dairy Queen ...
And the Remington Carriage Centre ... Gavin went to stop Ava from escaping...oops!
It was SO windy!
5. On Friday we went out for a wagon ride with the fam. Ava LOVES horses.
Childhood flashback - I remember when I was little my dad used to do this to me - forget climbing those steps myself, I got pulled up by one arm every time - my dad was always in a hurry.
My mom's parents used to live out in Grassy and they came along for the ride and brought hot chocolate.
Here we are!
5. While we were out in the middle of nowhere we we took my sister's boyfriend for a little tour of my great grandpa's house. My uncle has been working on restoring it.
6. My word for 2013 is DO - including DOing a long list of projects in the house. I finally got everything lined up and got my drywall anchors in to hang a little shelf in my bathroom and Ava was so done. As I held her while putting in the screws I thought why don't I take a picture of this (doesn't everyone think that?? ha it was for my 15 on the 15th project)) - so I did and here it is:
And this is the little shelf so far:

7. I stayed up way too late watching Downton Abbey and it's taken me two days to recover. How old am I??
8. I love being a mom to a little girl. A 3-year-old girl I babysit asks to put on makeup every time she comes, and today she put some on Ava when I left the room for a minute. Ava loved it and carried a little empty powder compact and brush around the house, putting it on her face.
9. Costco is doing a sale on 4x6s again so I am working on catching up on printing for Project Life.
10. I feel a little behind on everything right now. Lots to edit, post, organize, clean, decorate, wash, plan, etc.
